Services We Provide

We offer a range of primary care services to help you maintain and improve your health

Adult Primary Care

Comprehensive primary care services for adults. We focus exclusively on adult healthcare and do not provide pediatric services.

Chronic Condition Management

Ongoing management and monitoring of chronic conditions such as:
  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • High cholesterol
  • Other chronic health conditions

Preventive Care

Health screenings, wellness exams, and preventive health counseling to help you stay healthy and catch potential issues early.

Basic Sick Visits

Evaluation and treatment of common acute illnesses and minor injuries, including:
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Minor infections
  • Acute pain management
  • Other non-emergency conditions

Medication Counseling

Medication review, education, and management guidance to help you understand your medications and use them safely and effectively.

Health Education

Patient education on health conditions, lifestyle modifications, nutrition, exercise, and wellness strategies to support your long-term health.

Services We Do Not Provide

To ensure we can provide the best care within our scope, we do not offer the following services

  • Emergency Care

    We are not equipped to handle medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

  • Walk-In Appointments

    We do not accept walk-ins. All patients must schedule an appointment in advance by phone or online.

  • Controlled Substances

    We do not prescribe controlled substances. Our providers can discuss alternative treatment options with you.

  • After-Hours Urgent Care

    We operate only during scheduled clinic hours every other Saturday (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM). We do not provide after-hours or urgent care services outside of these hours.

  • Pediatric Care

    We provide services exclusively for adults. We do not treat children or adolescents.

Scope of Care

Shifa Free Clinic provides adult primary care services within the scope of general internal medicine. Our focus is on preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment of common acute conditions. All care is provided under the supervision of a board-certified internal medicine physician.

If your condition requires specialized care or services outside our scope, we will provide appropriate referrals and guidance to help you access the care you need.
